Mars will have rings like Saturn in Future

Mars, the second smallest planet in our solar system. It seems reddish due to the presence of Ferric oxide over its surface. It is named after a Roman god of wars. Mars is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere composed primarily of carbon dioxide. In this article, we will discuss some very interesting and probably unknown facts about this Red Planet.

One Day Mars will have Ring

In the next 20-40 million years, Mars big moon Phobos will be torn apart by Gravitational forces resulting in the creation of a Saturn like Ring around Red Planet that will last approximately upto next 100 million years until the pieces vanish.

Pieces of Mars on Earth

Scientists have identified many of tiny traces of Martian atmosphere among meteorites that have fallen violently from Mars. These meteorites after ejection from Mars have had orbit Solar System before crash landing on Earth. These traces of Martian surface have helped Scientists before launching Mars Missions.

Tallest Mountain on Solar System

A shield volcano, 21 kilometers high and 600 kilometers diameter is the largest mountain of solar system. It is named Olympus Mons. Many scientists believe that this volcano is still active. And we cannot go for hiking there. Olympus Mons is part of a complex of volcanoes that lie along a volcanic plateau called the Tharsis Bulge. This entire region lies over a hotspot, a place in the planet’s crust that allows magma from deep inside to flow out to the surface.

Largest Dust Storms in Solar System

The dust storms in Mars are so large that they can last for month and can cover entire planet. This is so extreme because of Geographical Structure and alignment of Mars in Solar System.

The End Notes

Well, the Martian facts didn't end here. But, I have to leave few for next article. Well, please drop some of the unknowns about Mars so that I can include them on my next articles. Please Comment and do share.
